How it all began…
The idea for RapidUsertests was born in 2010, when the founders, as research assistants of the Competence Initiative Usability, noticed the following: For almost all website operators, usability is an important competitive factor. However, there is usually too little money and time available to commission large-scale usability tests. RapidUsertests was developed to solve these problems. User tests can now be conducted at a fraction of the cost and time of a classic usability study.
The operator of RapidUsertests is Userlutions GmbH, a spin-off of Humboldt University Berlin. RapidUsertests has been online since summer 2011 and can count numerous well-known customers among its clients. In the spring of 2011, the idea was awarded the German government’s Founders’ Prize for ICT, followed in 2012 by the IT Innovation Prize of the Initiative Mittelstand, as well as an award in “Germany – Land of Ideas”.
